We have travelled the nation for creative radio imaging ideas for this months edition, and are proud to bring you a wide variety of imaging from two radio stations, and one internet only Latin Rock Alternative podcast.

KCYY – San Antonio, TX

Down near the southern end of the great state of Texas lies San Antonio, arbitron market thirty.  Cox Radio owned KCYY is programmed the by legendary Randy Chase.  In the battle for country earlobes KCYY is not alone, as Clear Channel owned KAJA is also in the market and doing well.  One half a point 12+ delineates winners from losers, and our friends at Cox love to win.

This months sample from KCYY features a promo for Rodeo San Antonio, a major event in South Texas.  John Willyard is the big voice, but it’s the smaller voice that steals the show.  Of course none of the voice talents could shine without the clever script.  After all it is all about the writing, always.

Soy Radical Podcast

In this era of radio consolidation and micro targeted formats, it was still news to us that a format called Latin Rock Alternative even existed.  From their website:  Soy Radical is a podcast dedicated to Latinos in rock and provides context and perspective on the Latin Rock experience.  Sounds important!

While most podcasts have little to no production value, Soy Radical saw killer imaging as a way to differentiate in a crowded podcast space.  As a company never afraid to try new things, we took on Soy Radical as an opportunity to showcase our radical podcast imaging.

WKMK – Monmouth & Ocean, NJ

Just recently Brian Moore took over the reigns at Real Jersey Kountry K98.5 with a zeal for contemporary imaging more commonly found on your local CHR station.  With our vast CHR experience, we knew what Brian was after.  Forward momentum, exciting audio mixes, listener reactions, and creative aural stimulation.

The Krash production staff pulled out all the stops for WKMK, even whipping out the CDJ1000 digital turntable for some vocal manipulations.  If you’ve never heard the CDJ in action, now is your chance.
