Jingles of the World – Radio 2 (Belgium)
In the first a new semi-regular series of posts showcasing jingles from stations around the world, we take a look at Radio 2 in the Flanders region of Belgium.
Like it’s English cousin of the same name, Radio 2 is the middle-of-the-road service from the Flemish public broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT), so imagine if Terry Wogan spoke Dutch and the jingles weren’t nine years old and you’d get the picture. Radio 2 is the most popular station in Flemish Belgium with an audience of 1.36 million and a listening share of 29.3%, nearly double that of it’s closest competitor Q Music.
The jingles are from Brandy, although only the Christmas versions are currently featured on Brandy’s site.
