Studios Peak Provide Show Imaging for Virgin Radio Toronto
MONTREAL – September 4, 2008 – Studios Peak has been selected by Virgin Radio to provide show imaging production for their first North American radio station, Virgin Radio 999 FM, launched with fanfare August 25 in Toronto.
Peak was chosen for their ability to produce customized imaging that projects the innovative, irreverent Virgin style.
Michel Labrecque, President and COO at Peak, is thrilled to work with the new station. “Studios Peak feels privileged to have been chosen by Virgin Radio to provide the sound imaging design of the station’s shows.”
Martin Tremblay, Program Director at Virgin Radio, said “Peak made all the difference for us at Virgin. We wanted a unique sound and the people at Peak strive to find new customized imaging that makes our station one of the coolest in North America. Without the patience, the commitment and the talent of Peak, Virgin Radio wouldn’t be… Virgin Radio!”
Virgin Radio International is part of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group and has stations in a growing number of countries, including France, Italy, India and the UK, where Virgin Radio was first launched in the 90s. Virgin Radio 999 FM is owned by Astral Media Inc. and replaces the popular Mix 99.9 FM, one of 52 stations acquired by Astral last year.
Founded in Montreal in 1999, Studios Peak has put their distinctive stamp on the sound of many radio stations around the world in a wide variety of formats. In 2007 the company combined their talents with video post-production, television editing and production specialists Jaune Banane HD to form Groupe Peak-Banane.
