Jingles of the World – Kiss FM (Côte d’Azur, France)

Kiss FM is La radio de la Côte d’Azur broadcasting to Nice, Cannes and a few other places in south east France. Originally known as PBFM 99 and based in Cannes, the station had a soft AC approach in the 1980s. In the 1990s the station had became Kiss FM with a dance based format, which evolved to Top 40 in the 2000s. Kiss FM competes locally with Nice Radio and against the national stations including NRJ, Fun Radio and RTL2.

We’re not sure who produced the jingles, but as with most French stations, they get a lot of use. We noted they typically play an average of 20 jingles an hour.

Do the jingles come from Top Format? The first cut has a sample from a Music 4 package in it.

Nice sure if it’s Top Format. Perhaps it’s from European jingle company. I heard though that NRJ France will have a new custom package.
