1st Update for BBC Radio 1 from PURE Jingles
The producers at PURE just couldn’t help themselves when they went to work on the first update for the BBC Radio 1 Idents. Originally scheduled to include 5 new cuts, the ideas kept on flowing and the Dutch team ended up sending over 7 finished idents that are on-air, right now.
Since the first batch of idents was pretty much an all-out assault on the ears – with lots of dub step influences and VO glitch editing – the challenge, this time around, was to include some more mellow musical influences as well. The BBC Radio 1 production team sent over musical examples for direction, and gave the go-ahead to start merging the VO with the music after studying the demos.
