Spirit FM appointed S2blue to produce their new imaging package. The package features S2blue’s ‘new sound’ – fresh and contemporary beat-driven beds with great solo vocals, providing Spirit FM with imaging that lends a fresh, new vibrant sound to the station.

Simon Prentice, Managing Director of S2blue commented:

“Over the past few months we’ve been working on a number of custom packages featuring our ‘new sound’. This was a great project to work on – the package features two great vocalists in Martina O’Brian and Chris Madin which blend brilliantly with the tracks, composed by Lee Turner. The package provides a really fresh sound for station.

We’ve worked with Spirit FM for many years so it was lovely to produce their imaging.”

Tindle Radio Group Gets New Jingles from Pure Tonic Media

New imaging for BBC Radio Humberside & BBC Radio Cumbria

S2blue Imaging are pleased to announce they have recently refreshed imaging for both BBC Radio Humberside and BBC Radio Cumbria.

Each package includes additional cuts, new instrumentation on existing cuts and fresh vocals in a traditional group style.

BBC Radio Cumbria went live with their refreshed package last Monday, following on from BBC Radio Humberside, who went live with their new package a few weeks ago.

“We’ve really enjoyed working with the BBC stations again and revisiting these great packages.

Over the years we have been lucky enough to work on many packages for BBC local stations. The original packages for Cumbria and Humberside were really exciting to work on – the Humberside sessions especially stick in the mind as we recorded overdubs with the full BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.”

“BBC Radio Humberside starting talking to s2blue about its need for a new imaging package in 2004, with our specially commissioned package going on air at the end of the summer the following year. It featured an amazing sound created by Maurice Cheetham, working with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and S2blue’s production skills. They met the brief to give us a really memorable audio logo and a sound created specially for us. Two other BBC stations went on to adopt the same audio themes.
Over the next few years we’ve returned to S2blue to ‘top-up’ the package and record new elements to keep it refreshed. However, we felt that after almost five years on air, the time was right for a major revamp. The creative team at S2blue have just completed the work on laying down new instrumentation and effects alongside parts of the original recordings and have completed a set of brand new idents to expand the package further.
Working with Maurice, Steve and Simon, as well as their amazing team of musicians and singers, was a delight again. They offer fantastically creative solutions to the problems we throw their way; simply understanding how to translate our ideas into reality. They do so quickly and with real flair. S2Blue Imaging are pleased to announce their new custom package for Oman’s Hi FM.

Hi FM appointed S2blue to produce a new imaging package with the brief to make them stand out in the market – something fresh and contemporary, that would fit with the today’s music.

The custom package features S2blue’s ‘new sound’ of contemporary beat driven beds and fresh solo vocals, on this occasion provided by noted Manchester singer Denise Johnson, who has worked with artists such as Primal Scream, Ian Brown and Electronica.

“This was a great project to work on – we’d worked with Darren on the previous Hi FM package and we really wanted to create a new sound that really moved the imaging on for them.

I‘d wanted to use Denise as a featured soloist on a package for a while as I love her voice and she’s such a great vocalist – when the Hi FM package came up it seemed ideal.

We collaborated with composer Lee Turner on the main package with Maurice Cheetham composing the Big Breakfast Show cut – I’m really pleased with how the whole package sounds.”

S2Blue produced its first jingle package for a Chinese station – U Radio 105.7. It is a station owned by Phoenix TV and broadcasts in Shenzhen City, which is in Guangdong Province, China.

Warp By Cue responsible for Fresh FM’s Audio Imaging

It´s Spring time! Here’s some exciting news from the Warp by Cue studio´s. Warp by Cue starts a new cooperation with Fresh FM: the Dutch radio station with the best danceable music in The Netherlands. From now on, Warp by Cue will create all audio imaging for Fresh FM. Warp wants to create a new sound and take Fresh’ imaging to a new level. Last year, Warp by Cue already produced their new jingle package.

The first new project together will be the House Top 1000. During this radio event, the Fresh FM studio turns into a 90’s club for 80 hours. For this radio event, Warp by Cue gives the imaging a classic twist, but it’s still eclectic. The House Top 1000 starts on May 21.

This is not the first time Warp by Cue is involved in a long term collaboration with radio stations. Throughout the years, Warp by Cue worked on the same base for: 3FM, FunX and ID&T Radio.

Kingdom FM 2010 from TM Studios

New from TM Studios in Dallas; Kingdom FM 2010. It’s TM’s second custom package for the Scottish station, and contains 8 new themes with a new vocal group. Designed to work alongside Kingdom FM’s playlist, the jingles help to stand out without getting in the way. Additional production elements including extended beds and standalone logos give the package maximum flexibility within station production.

The TM team also refreshed and remixed the information suite, consiting of beds and stagers for news, weather, traffic, sport and noticeboard. Kingdom FM also took the opportunity to change their station voices, and are now running all-Scottish voice overs in their imaging.

Omroep Flevoland is the public broadcasting station for the province of Flevoland. Omroep Flevoland informs the people of Flevoland through radio, TV and the Internet. Omroep Flevoland radio broadcasts news and light informative programmes, alternated with a lot of music. On weekdays, the emphasis is on regional news. In weekends, there is plenty of room for sport from the region in addition to the news. TV Flevoland likewise broadcasts mainly news from Flevoland. Additionally, it produces programmes about nightlife, sports, nature, culture, and backgrounds to the news. Whenever TV Flevoland is off the air, the channel broadcasts D-TV, with a 1-minute news report every half hour from noon.
