Production Conference in Manchester

Radio Production Conference in ManchesterTV maybe suffering, but radio is getting better and better. This was the statement of Ashley Byrne of Made in Manchester on the scheduled regional radio production conference to take place on March 31st at The Lowry, Salford Quays.

Byrne states that GMG, BBC, and northern independent production companies like Soundscape, All Out, Smooth Operations, OutLoud, Made in Manchester, and Pennine are producing some of the best programmes on UK stations. This is one way of showcasing the works of radio stations in the North West, North East and Yorkshire.

Dubbed as “The Radio Production in the North Networking Conference”, the activity aims to support and celebrate the success of the sector. The conference will also stage presentations from production firms like Peel Media and 5Live.

Byrne notes that with 5Live joining in, there is a big chance that MediaCityUK will turn into a real for radio and TV production. The said conference is supported by North West Vision and Media and conceived by Made in Manchester. Jim Hancock, BBC North West editor will host the event. Those who are into radio production can attend the conference for free, just email radio@visionandmedia.co.uk. – from How Do
