NEW AUDIO FOR COMMUNITY STATIONS

There’s a new breed of radio in the UK, and it’s happening in the community. Ofcom are licensing dozens of new stations, and we’re doing the imaging for a fair few! There are two contrasting examples on the front of our website at the moment.

Skyline Community Radio launched in Southampton last week, with a very classy set of jingles and sweepers from Devaweb. We resang a selection of jingles from Bespoke’s Kingdom FM package, and created a wide range of jingles, sweepers and programme idents, voiced by Ian Brannan and Philippa Collins.

Meanwhile, Afan FM are preparing to entertain the younger demographic in Neath & Port Talbot, South Wales. We’ve worked with them through their RSLs and have now created a set of stagers and out-of-break stabs to match the music they’re playing. We’ve also written and recorded a stunning weather/news/hour-launcher sequence. Listen online now at www.devaweb.co.uk

HOSPITAL STATIONS MOVING CHANNELS

Some of our hospital radio clients who broadcast on the Patientline system have been in touch because they’re having to move channels. If your station is affected, email us and we can adapt your package to fit your new channel number. It’s a lot cheaper than creating a new set of IDs, and you’ll be ready to shout about being on channel 45… or channel 1… or whichever channel it is this week!

WE’VE KINDA RELOCATED!

Have you heard the news? Chris Stevens, Devaweb’s founder and manager, has relocated to Dallas, Texas, USA, where he’s working with international jingle company TM Century. However, don’t panic. Devaweb will continue as usual, and it still very-much UK based, both in attitude and contact details! The only change is the time-zone… don’t expect calls from him before midday!

In the last couple of months we’ve also been working with Trust AM, Biggles FM, CSfm, Kevi Radio, Auckland Gold, and we’ve currently cooking up some very exciting packages for the new year.

2006 should be really exciting; we’ve been investing in new technology, new SFX and music, we’re working with new freelance producers and we’re ready to make your station or show sound awesome!

Anyway, it’s nearly Christmas so we’ll shut up now and enjoy a glass of mulled wine while mixing some sweepers!
