Devaweb take Silver at Sonys
UK audio production company Devaweb are celebrating after scooping a Silver Sony Award at the recent industry ceremony in London. Devaweb were commissioned to produce all the imaging and music for “Where In The World” by 105.4 Century Radio in the North West. However due to the competition’s success, the promotion was rolled out to 6 other GMG regional stations, including Real Radio Scotland, and Smooth FM in the West and East Midlands.
Devaweb’s founder, Chris Stevens, said “We were delighted when Real Radio in Yorkshire wanted to enter Where In The World for a Sony. They took our kit of parts, added caller clips and off-air audio, and made something incredible out of it. To be nominated was amazing, but to get the silver award is so exciting!”
This is the third Sony nomination for Chris, but the first with his company Devaweb.
Devaweb have been working with a number of commercial radio groups recently, including custom music for Bauer Radio’s “Your £1,000 Song” which was used across the group’s Big City stations, and an ongoing imaging contract with CN Radio, supplying all production for 8 of the group’s stations. Also, Devaweb is still the biggest supplier of audio imaging to hospital radio and RSL stations across the UK.
